Alki for iPhone / Help

App support.

Connect your T1 FIELD rowing device, download a recording, review its report, and export the files you need.

A compatible physical device is required to create and sync recordings. You can review previously saved sessions without the device. No account is required.

Connect and sync

  1. Record and stop a session on your T1 FIELD device.
  2. Turn on Bluetooth, open Alki, select Find T1 FIELD, and allow Bluetooth access when iOS asks.
  3. Select the nearby device and choose Sync recorded sessions. Keep the app open and the device nearby until the download finishes.
  4. Open Sessions to view the saved report or share its JSON or original UBX file.

If sync stops

If the device is not found, check that it is powered on and nearby, Bluetooth is enabled, and Alki has Bluetooth permission in iPhone Settings.

If a download is interrupted, reconnect and explicitly retry the sync. Previously saved sessions stay on your phone, and a repeated download is deduplicated.

Sessions and sharing

Recordings and reports are saved on your iPhone. Deleting a session in Alki removes the phone copy. Clearing a recording from the physical device is a separate action that requires your confirmation after Alki verifies the phone copy.

Sharing JSON or UBX uses the iOS share sheet. Report email is optional and needs an internet connection. It sends the selected report summary and any included field notes to the address you enter. A walking report can load an online basemap; its saved route trace remains available when tiles cannot load.

Read the iPhone app privacy policy for details about local storage and optional network services.
